Abstract: The security of sensitive data while external and internal sharing, collaboration has become a challenge in day to day life. This necessitates content protection and copy right protection in digital right management domain. Our research focus on ownership authorization, tamper detection, localization, self-recovery. The goal of the research is to study the existing watermarking schemes, their strength and limitation. Designing a new scheme to overcome the limitations. The developed algorithms are implemented on FPGA kit. Using the designed algorithm, a biomedical application is developed. newlineThe robust watermarking is ideal for the protection of copyright due to their resistance nature against various geometrical distortions. A robust watermarking system developed both in both software and hardware platform using DTCWT and PCA. A semi-fragile or partially-fragile watermarking for detection of manipulations, localization and auto-correction is developed. The semi-fragile algorithm is designed using Shamir (p, n) threshold scheme. The algorithm is checked for random tampering and implemented on FPGA kit. newlineBy combining both the algorithm a composite watermarking system is designed which performs both ownership authorization and content authentication. The composite watermarking system is developed for biomedical application to conceal the patient s information in the format of text or image. The algorithm is tested for CT and MRI scan images, investigation shows that composite watermarking is efficient enough to assert the ownership and authenticates the content. The developed composite algorithm is implemented on FPGA kit. newline newline
