Abstract: The study aims to explore existing credit delivery mechanism in apple industry of Jammu newlineand Kashmir. The study was conducted in five districts of the State. An attempt has been newlinemade to study impact of credit delivery mechanisms on productivity as well as changing newlinemarketing practices after availing credit form institutional as well as non-institutional newlinesources. The study aimed to draw inferences on comparative analysis of said sources, to put newlineforth suggestions regarding betterment of industry and evaluate the new techniques of post newlineharvest management. newlineThe healthy and efficient credit delivery system in apple industry of Jammu and Kashmir is newlineinevitable. The need of credit and effective utilization plays an important role in overall apple newlineproduction of the state. The state of Jammu and Kashmir as discussed is heavily dependent newlineon apple industry. So there should be major focus of policy makers and government agencies newlineto develop the industry. The present problem prevailing in industry aims to study the newlinerelationship between particular financing sources and productivity of industry. The newlineoperational practices of money lending and other non-institutional financing sources impose newlineobstacles in efficiency of the industry.
