Abstract: False Beginners (FB) is a type of learner profile observed and established in the context of newlineESL (English as a Second Language) area of ELT (English Language Training). In ELT as a newlineLearning Intervention (LI). FB presence affects the learning process positively, as well as newlinenegatively across situations. The same is observed in areas outside ELT context in corporate newlineeducation as well as higher education. In some areas, the symptoms have been recognized, and newlinethe cross-pollination of solutions and remedial actions are waiting to happen. newline newlineThis study starts with secondary research on existing literature to FB in ELT context. Then it newlinebroadens into areas other than ELT. Post the secondary research, the study goes through four newlineexperiments aimed at different situations outside ELT, and the effect of various instructional newlinedesign strategies on learning outcomes (and business goals). The first experiment comprises newlineof research and questionnaires to establish the existence of FB in Corporate Learning and newlineDevelopment (CLD). This is followed by further experiments in various Teaching-Learning newlineEnvironment (TLE) situations in CLD which face business problems, each of which is solved newlineby reducing the FB factor in that TLE towards achievement of Business Process Excellence newline(BPE). These experiments were carried out especially in TLE situations that can indeed be newlinesolved through a re-engineered Learning Intervention (LI).Post the four experiments, the study concludes by summarizing the findings from Experiment newlineA, B, C, and D. The correlation between the FB factor and the success rate of LIs in CLD, newlineHigher Ed, as well as CE and continuing education is established at this stage. It is also newlineestablished that the LI and TLE process, when re-engineered to form a feed backward loop, newlinereduces the FB factor and completes the cognitive reasoning s closed loop and increases newlinesuccess rate for a given LI towards BPE. The study finally concludes by listing a few related newlineareas where this study can seed further research beyond current
