Abstract: Injection moulding is one of the major net shape forming newlineprocesses for thermoplastics polymers Over 32 of all plastics parts newlinemanufactured are by injection moulding Injection moulding is ideally newlinesuited for manufacturing large quantities of mass produced plastics parts of newlinecomplex shapes and sizes In the injection moulding process hot melt of newlineplastics is forced into a cold empty cavity of desired shape mould where newlinethe hot melt is allowed to solidify Solidified net shape product is ejected newlineout of the mould upon opening Although the process looks deceptively newlinesimple prediction of final part quality is a complex phenomenon due to the newlinenumerous processing variables Common defects in injection moulding newlineprocess can be classified into two categories They are Dimensional newlinerelated and Attribute related newline newline
