Abstract: In recent years, with the rapid development of wireless technology, the wireless newlinecommunication system has also flourished, and the applied range in the market is newlineincreasingly wide. Wireless communication systems generally require two-way newlinesending and receiving data in a fast, high-efficiency and reliable way, which is newlinereflected in the antenna subsystem. The antenna is an important part of the wireless newlinecommunication system. Modern society has entered into the information age, and newlinepeople present higher requirements for the antenna, that is, the antenna should not newlineonly have a wider frequency band, smaller size and is easier to install, but should newlinealso have a high radiation efficiency and anti-interference performance, and other newlinecharacteristics. newlineDue to the aforementioned reasons, the demand for multifunctional newlinecomponents has increased tremendously in the recent years. Advancement in newlineintegrated technology has provided researchers with ample capability to fit newlinediversified applications operating at different frequencies in one wireless device. newlineIntegration of multiband antennas in conjunction with frequency reconfigurability newlineoffers an optimal antenna design. Compared with the traditional microwave newlineantenna, the multiband reconfigurable antennas are low profile, small size, low cost newlineand light weight, which can meet the demands of miniaturization. In addition, the incorporation of metamaterials yields controllable and promising radiation newlineproperties.
