Abstract: Semiconducting crystals dominate the world of electronic newlineTechnology Among them the chalcopyrite ternary semiconductors newlineare an important class of materials They are generally direct bandgap newlinematerials Chalcopyrites such as CuGaS2 CuInTe2 and AgGaS2 are currently newlinethe most challenging and technologically important materials which have the newlinepotential for optical devices light emitting diodes solar cells and non linear newlineoptical devices active throughout the entire visible spectrum extending into newlinethe infrared wavelengths The bulk growth of these materials are carried out newlinemore prominently by melt growth methods like Bridgman or high temperature newlinesolution growth Vapor growth method is considered to be an important newlinemethod to obtain stoichiometric crystalline materials from the inexpensive newlineand readily available raw materials The elements or compounds which are newlinerelatively volatile can be grown by vapor phase newline newline
