Abstract: Heat exchangers are widely used as essential units in heat extracting and recovering systems in industries High performance heat transfer system is of great importance in many industrial applications The performance of heat exchanger can be substantially improved by a number of newlineaugmentation techniques Heat transfer can be increased by active and passive flow control techniques In the active flow control techniques external power is required to increase the heat transfer For the passive flow control techniques no external energy is required for the enhancement of heat transfer Passive flow control techniques are used in various industrial newlineapplications to increase the heat transfer The main objective of this work is to study the effect of the heat transfer rate and the pressure drop characteristics of the concentric tube heat exchanger under constant wall temperature boundary condition when turbulator of different configurations is bonded to the inner surface of circular tube Tests are performed for turbulent flow Reynolds number ranges with water as working fluid The experimental data for a plain tube newline
