Abstract: In the modern information technology era, the emergence of service-oriented architecture (SOA) and the grid computing leads to the development of a new computing paradigm called as cloud computing. Normally any computing resource like storage, processing unit are available in large numbers with the largest corporate information technology service providing companies like Google, Amazon, Microsoft, etc. and those resources are underutilized at most of the times. There are three types of cloud computing service models called as Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). There are four types of cloud computing service deployment models Public, Private, Hybrid, and Community. Under the diverse nature of cloud computing, a cloud service consumer faces numerous technical issues on selecting a particular cloud newlineservice like the consumer must understand the technical requirements and workflow of the service, etc. An effective methodology can be developed for recommending the appropriate cloud service to a cloud user using the semantic technologies. The semantic web is an advancement to improve the existing web as an intelligent one. The problem with the vast amount of data on the existing web is, in current program centric format of the data, it is complicated to use it on a great scale as there is no standard methodology is available for describing data in such a meaningful way, as any system can utilize it. Hence semantic web tries to make the web as user-centric newlineinformation based entity. The objective of this research is to develop cloud service recommendation systems based on semantic technologies according to user requirements. newline newline
