Abstract: Batch and semi batch reactors are extensively used in chemicals bio newlinechemicals pharmaceuticals and food industries for the production of small newlineamounts of products with high added value and frequently changing newlineproduction plans required by the product diversity The control and newlineoptimization of batch reactors are a real risky task because of its time varying newlinecharacteristics as chemical transformation proceed from an initial state to a newlinevery different final state and reaction rate changes significantly during a batch newlinerun nonlinear behaviour as heat exchanger relation with cooling jacket newlinemodel inaccuracy as some of significant reactions are unknown few specific newlinemeasurements with disturbance and irreversible behaviour with limited newlinecorrective actions newline newline
