Abstract: The objective of the present work involves the studies on the newlinedevelopment and characterization of high functionality epoxy resins newlinehaving varied skeletons in their backbone such as methylene sulphone, newlinephosphorous and siloxane The following monomers namely of newlineN N Tetraglycidyl diaminodiphenylmethane TGDDM N N Tetraglycidyl newlineDiaminodiphenylsulphone TGDDS Triphenylphosphine oxide based newlinetetraglycidyl epoxy resin TG P 1 9 10 dihydro 9 oxa 10 newlinephosphophenanthrene 10 oxide DOPO based tetraglycidyl epoxy newlineresin TG P 2 N N Tetraglycidyl tetramethyldiaminosiloxane newlineTG Si1 and NNTetraglycidy dimethylsiloxane TG Si 2 were synthesized newline from appropriate chemical intermediates and newlinewere referred to as A B C D E and F respectively Two different curing newlineagents namely diaminodiphenylmethane DDM and bis 3aminophenyl newlinephenylphosphine oxide BAPPO were used for curing the above matrices and newlinewere referred to as X and Y respectively The matrices A B C D E and F newlineafter curing with X and Y were referred to as AX AY BX BY CX CY newlineDX DY EX EY FX and FY respectively newline
