Abstract: A wireless sensor network is composed of a group of small powerconstrained newlinenodes with functions of sensing and communication which can newlinebe scattered over a vast region for the purpose of detecting or monitoring newlinesome special events It consists of many lowcost and lowpowered sensor newlinenodes called sensors or nodes that collaborate with each other to gather newlineprocess and communicate information using wireless communications newlineSensors are battery operated with a processor and a radio They are newlinecharacterized by limited resources in terms of memory computation and newlineenergy Due to the limited energy resource in each sensor node it is needed to newlineutilize the sensors in an efficient manner so as to increase the lifetime of the newlinenetwork The objective of this research is focusing on the issues such as newlinelocalization energy communication overhead and connectivity of sensor newlinenetwork newlineIn a Wireless Sensor Network WSN low powered and low cost newlinesensorsnodes are collaborated with each other to communicate Since the newlinesensors are battery powered it utilizes the limited resources such as memory newlineenergy etc The issues that affect WSN are localization energy newlinesynchronization QS security etc This research focus is on the issues such newlineas localization energy communication overhead connectivity of sensor newlinenetwork and proposed an energy efficient location and distributed partitioning newlinemethodology for wireless sensor networks In this methodology there are two newlinealgorithms FIXPOS and DPCB It is observed that FIXPOS algorithm has newlinemore nodes alive than the other algorithms with the increment of rounds newlinewhereas in DPCB algorithm the cluster head is elected based on its highest newlineenergy compared with its neighboring nodes newlineIn a wireless sensor network there is a tradeoff between network newlinelifetime and sensor coverage To achieve a better coverage more sensors have newlineto be active at the same time then more energy would be consumed and the newlinenetwork lifetime is reduced if more sensors are put into newlinesleep to extend the network lifetime the coverage will be adversely affected newline newline
