Abstract: Production of ozone is one of the most typical processes in industrial and commercial applications using silent electrical discharge principle Ozone is replacing chlorine for chemical processing drinking water treatment industrial wastewater treatment bleaching and decolourization This research initially describes about the ozone generation by silent newlineelectric corona discharge where the ozone yield per unit area is increased as it is directly proportional to frequency and square of the voltage applied with other parameters like discharge gap and dielectric constant kept constant The concentration of ozone also changes with variations of voltage frequency flow rate gas type and effect of temperature The gas composition affects the generation rate with dry air giving lower concentration and oxygen giving high concentration as shown in experiment With increased flow rate the ozone gas concentration decreased and yield increased due to less residence time in the discharge gap newline
