Abstract: Heterocyclic compounds are of very much interest in our daily life. They are predominantly used as pharmaceuticals, as agrochemicals and as veterinary products. These are cyclic compounds containing hetero atoms at least one atom of carbon and at least one element other than carbon. In the recent years, the incidence of fungal and bacterial infections has increased dramatically. The widespread use of antifungal and antibacterial drugs in resistance to drug therapy against fungal and antibacterial infections which led to serious health hazards. Many heterocyclic compounds synthesized in laboratories have been successfully used as clinical agents. newlineMany heterocyclic compounds occur naturally and found as key components in biological processes. Essential diet ingredients such as Pyridoxal (Vitamin B6) and Ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) are heterocyclic compounds. Nitrogen containing heterocycles have been used as medicinal compounds for centuries, and form the basis for many common drugs such as Aprimilast, Aminocoumarin, Acenocoumarol, Diproqualone, Etaqualoneand Pyrroloquinoline quinone. newline newline
