dc.description.abstractMobile Ad hoc Network MANET is a network consisting of a newlinecollection of nodes which can communicate with each other without help newlinefrom a network infrastructure There has been a growing interest in mobile ad newlinehoc networks motivated by the advances in wireless technology and the range newlineof potential applications that might be realized with such technology Due to newlinethe lack of an infrastructure and their dynamic nature networks demand a newlinenew set of networking protocols to harness the full benefits of the versatile newlinecommunication systems Routing is one of the key issues in MANETs newlinebecause of highly dynamic and distributed nature of nodes Especially energy newlineefficient routing is most important because all the nodes are battery powered newlineFailure of one node may affect the entire network If a node runs out of newlineenergy the probability of network partitioning will be increased Since every newlinemobile node has limited power supply energy depletion has become one of newlinethe main threats to the lifetime of the ad hoc network So routing in ad hoc newlinenetwork should be in such a way that it will use the remaining battery power newlinein an efficient way to increase the life time of the network newline newlineen_US
