Abstract: newlineThe growth of mobile network is anticipated to increase tremendously in near future The number of mobile users and mobile applications will also increase correspondingly which leads to a greater demand in resource requirements It is a challenging task for the network to offer the requested Quality of Service to different multimedia services The newlinegoal of this research is to limit the call failures in cellular network due to inadequate resources The research also aims to develop an improved channel allocation algorithm that will minimize call failures while achieving an efficient resource allocation Handoff is a critical feature that has significant effect on system capacity resource utilization and performance Transferring the active call from one cell to another without disturbing the call s progress is called as the process of Handoff Handoff is otherwise a make before newlinebreak process The probability of handoff failure is termed as Handoff Call Dropping Probability The probability of rejecting a new call is New Call Blocking Probability Call Admission Control algorithm decides to accept or reject a call based on the availability of resources in the network The handoff call request is given higher priority because interrupting an ongoing active call is more undesirable than denying a new call request An efficient admission control algorithm is designed in this study to satisfy newlinethe QoS requirements of the mobile user A Decisive Best Effort Service Algorithm designed in this research prioritizes the handoff call request by integrating the CAC with the proposal of queuing the handoff calls reserving channels for HO calls based on the mobility prediction setting revenue based priority and supporting interoperability between service providers newline newline
