Abstract: Wireless networks and devices are becoming increasingly popular as newlinethey provide users to access information and communicate anytime and newlineanywhere Conventional wireless communication systems are usually newlinesupported by a wired fixed infrastructure such as asynchronous transfer mode newline or the internet The mobile devices use single hop wireless radio newlinecommunications to access a base station that connects to the wired newlineinfrastructure In contrast the class of mobile ad hoc networks newlinedoes not use any fixed infrastructure It consists of nodes that are newlineself reconfigurable and fully distributed Such networks are robust flexible newlineand allow fast deployment These features make ad hoc networks attractive newlinefor a wide range of applications in situations such as military conflicts and newlinenatural disasters Nevertheless it is very challenging to design an ad hoc newlinenetwork that has high energy efficiency and throughput Recently multiple input and multiple output wireless newlinesystems have attracted much interest since they significantly increase the newlinecapacity of bandlimited wireless channels to meet the requirements of the newlinefuture high data rate wireless communications MIMO ad hoc network newlinecombines the merits of both MIMO and ad hoc networks Since the newlineinterference between nodes limits the throughput of the ad hoc network they newlineshould be designed with minimal interference for achieving maximum spatial newlinereuse efficiency newline
