Abstract: Recent developments in wireless ommunications reveal the fact that the use of multiple antennas at both transmitter and receiver will substantially increase the channel capacity and reliability of wireless communication systems, without increasing the bandwidth and transmitter power. The wireless system with multiple antennas at both newlinethe ends is termed as Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) system. newlineThe present day research on MIMO technology mainly focused on signal newlineprocessing, channel modeling and coding aspects rather than antenna newlinedesign issues, which actually play vital role in determining the wireless newlinesystem performance. newline
