Abstract: The study concentrates on the understanding of the heritage of Hyder Ali and Tipu Sultan which are the replica of the then social, cultural and artistrythat were predominant. Tipu Sultan built, rather rebuilt, the fort with many ingenuous military architectural techniques of those days. The forts of Tipu newlineSultan have been remaining as the artistic and architectural heritage of India. newlineThe artistic creations in the monuments are the representation of the adept artisanship of the then artisans.
